Valentines and Basketball

Image
Landon had his class Valentine party a few days after Valentines Day….not sure why since they were at school on Valentine’s Day. He had his last basketball game.  It was really cute.  He made 2 baskets during the game.   When we got home and checked the mail I found his pictures were delivered…… Seriously?  I find it hard to believe the photographer didn’t look at that and think “I should retake that”.  Has to be the worst team photo ever, but a memory for the book for sure.

A day at the dentist

Image
The kids all had their dentist appointments.  It’s easier to do all 3 at the same time and knock it out.  Bebe came with us and thank goodness she did.  They played paper rock scissor while we waited. Landon had his first set of X-rays.  He made a gagging sound every time the lady even came near him.  We were all cracking up. The girls did awesome and got a great report.  Easy peasy.  Then it was Landon’s turn.  He clenched his teeth, cried, spit, BIT THE DENTIST (on accident, but still….).  It was awful.  I had to basically lay on top of him and hold him down while she pried his mouth open so she could BRUSH HIS TEETH…….WITH A TOOTHBRUSH.  I brush his teeth everyday, I’m not sure what got into him.  Afterwards we made wishes in the fountain and grabbed some lunch and called it a day.

A little catch up

Kenzie and Hallie are always flipping and doing handstands.  Yoga poses are their new thing.  Goofballs. The girls did a trial gymnastics class and really liked it. Landon and his class learned about the Olympics and did a relay race. The weather has been nice so Wayne and I took the puppies for a walk.  More like they took us for a walk. Roxy has always sat in this chair in Wayne’s office since she was a puppy.  She is a little too big for it now. Madison spent the night with Bebe and Papa and got to help restock the vending machine and count the money. Bebe helped her make her kitty Valentine’s Day box too.  It turned out so cute. One of my friends teaches fitness classes and she finally convinced most of the volleyball parents to go.  We went to her Saturday morning class…..it was ROUGH.  I could tell leaving I was going to be sore. I was right.  Every.Single.Muscle.In.My.Body hurt.  Makenzie blow dried my hair for me. Sunday after church, Madison went with her friend to a rock cli

Broken leg

Image
Monday morning before school started Caiden called me and said he needed me to pick him up because he slipped getting off the bus and heard his leg break.  Ouch!  Wayne left and headed to the school and I left to take Landon to school.  Wayne called and said the school called an ambulance because they couldn’t move Caiden since his leg was dangling.  Ewww.  Wayne headed to the hospital instead but they still weren’t there by the time I dropped Landon off.  I decided to go to the school just to see if they are were still there.  My heart sank seeing the ambulance there.  You never want to see your kiddo in an ambulance.  I also noticed a bunch of workers out there breaking up the ice and moving it all.  This is the sidewalk they expected kids to enter the school on. I followed the ambulance to the hospital and met Wayne there.  He did indeed break both his tibia and fibula.  He needed surgery so he had to be transferred to Children’s hospital by ambulance. They admitted him there and ke

Baptism

Sunday, Feb 8, will always be so special to me.  Of course it’s Madison’s birthday, but also the day that the girls and I were baptized.  The girls had been asking questions about it and we met with our pastor and decided to do it.  Madison went first.   This picture cracks me up.   Kenzie was next. And then me. Look at this sweet picture of my mom and dad. It was very special to share this moment with the girls.  I gave them both a James Avery necklace with a heart and cross.
