April, May and June 2020

April
Autumn and I surprised the kids with a water balloon fight.  The kids had no idea.  They were so surprised and we had so much fun.

April showers called for walks in the rain.

Ever get the feeling you are being watched…..

Papa snuggles

Geared up to go grocery shopping.

My little Easter bunny.

Still living the homeschool life.  Teaching fractions is fun…..<said no one ever>

Lots of swimming.  Max loved it too.

Discovered I’m not as flexible as I used to be.

We didn’t get to go see the Easter bunny because of Covid, but luckily the Easter bunny came to visit us.

Movie time with the Hogans.

Dying Easter eggs is not my favorite holiday tradition.  It ranks pretty high with carving pumpkins.  But the kids love it so we do it.

Max loves hanging his head out the window.  (I can’t remember exactly when it happened but Max actually jumped out the window while I was driving.  Luckily we were in the neighborhood and going really slow, but it scared us all so much.  Now we have to drive with the windows locked only about half way down.)

The Easter bunny came to visit.  He brought way too much stuff and his way too many eggs.  (Kenzie was there too but I must have moved pictures off my phone and this is what I have left)

We loved taking our morning walks.  It was a nice break from doing school all morning.

Max REALLY loves playing with sticks.  He would go and collect a bunch and bring them back in a pile and lay down and chew them.

We decided to play around with hair dye since the kids didn’t have to go to school.  We used Kool-Aid and Autumn put the girls hair in foils like highlights.  It turned out cute.

Silly boy.  It’s getting harder and harder to get a picture of him.  He always makes goofy faces.

Max couldn’t keep up on our walk and hopped up in the stroller while Landon walked.  I’m sure we looked funny.

A few Covid facts from April

May
May brought a lot of changes for our family.  The kids dad and I separated and it was really tough on the kids, and I.  We relied on our friends and family a lot.  I’m so proud of the kids and how they handled things and the 4 of us became so much more close.

We did a lot of swimming.  We are so lucky we had the pool during this pandemic and all the changes in our family.  It was a nice distraction.
Another goofy face.

The kids love exploring in the woods next to our house.  I don’t go much past the entrance….too many bugs for me.

Madison lost a tooth.

Landon made a girlfriend and was so sweet to her.  At one point he rubbed her back and told her she had beautiful ears.  He’s quite the ladies man.
Our street did another party to celebrate the end of school.  Kids had a blast being around everyone again.

Uncle Austin and the kids came over.  The kids loved having their cousins throw them in the pool.  And of course uncle Austin did some tricks.

Max enjoyed sunbathing on the float.

Madison had a virtual Kindergarten graduation.  It was really cute.  I even got a teacher award.

These 2 were my rock.  They always have been but especially then.  I love them so much and we always have so much fun.

Swimming always wipes bubba out and he can fall asleep just about anywhere.

Mays Covid update

June
I borrowed a friends cap and gown and took some pictures of Madison.  I can’t believe how big she is getting.

The kids and I had some pictures taken.  I love them more than they will ever know.

The kids had dentists appointments so we had to mask up.

Kenzie went to the lake and went tubing behind their boat.  She had a blast.

We had some friends over to swim and the next day we all went out on the lake.  We swam and fished and had a blast.

We found these 2 Sun bathing.

Our cul-de-sac had a movie night.  Again, so thankful for our neighbors.

Autumn, Korie and Amber took Heidi and I to Choctaw casino for our birthdays.  We had so much fun.

Here’s to 36!

Covid update
A vaccine came out and was indication for the elderly and immunocompromised people.  Mask mandates started to decrease in places and people started to get out more.  We were very hopeful it was on the decline and life was headed back to normal.
